HKTV reports HK$40m loss
Hong Kong Television Network has reported a loss of HK$40.3 million for the year ended August 31, according to The Standard. The report added that HKTV said HK$531.3 million has been invested in fixed assets, but that capital expenditure has slowed down. Hong Kong TV stations fined for illegal spectrum trading
The South China Morning Post has reported that the Office of the Communications Authority has imposed a fine of HK$200, 000 each on TVB and ATV for illegal spectrum trading. The watchdog said the two stations were required under their licences to equally share the transmission capacity of a multiple frequency network, for digital broadcast of programmes on their four analogue FTA channels, added the report.
