Hong Kong – Piracy cost the regional pay-TV industry $I.54 billion in lost revenue in the past 12 months, up from $US1.13 billion in 2006, according to the annual survey by CASBAA and Standard Chartered Bank. Public consultation to help decide RTHK’s fate
Hong Kong – A public consultation on the fate of pubcaster Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) will be initiated by the Special Administrative Region Government later this year. Taiwanese regulators stall on mobile TV licensing
Taipei – Taiwan’s National Communications Commission announced Oct. 31 a decision has not been reached on when and how operating licenses are to be issued to mobile TV operators.
