GMA-Philippines reports jump in profits with stable ad growth
Philippine broadcaster GMA says its net income from January to September this year grew 10 per cent to P1.96 billion (US$40 million). According to key officials from GMA, the expanded figure was strengthened by steady growth in ad revenue. Felipe S Yalong, senior vice president, said there had been a slowdown in big advertisers but that ads such as those for health products had posted a 40 per cent increase.
