Montreal - Distraction has inked a deal for The Next Great Leader in Bulgaria. The format was just picked up by Bulgaria National Television, who intend to produce a six episode series with the air date tentatively marked for May. TVNZ hit by advertising loss
New Zealand - Television New Zealand (TVNZ) has acknowledged an advertising revenue loss and is taking steps to cut US$12.5 million from its budget. The public broadcaster said that even though it produced profits for a half-year result, the impact of the global economic recession caused changes in market trends and the willingness of advertisers to spend on advertising. World advertising spending is expected to reach US$490.5 billion dollars in 2009, according to Zenith Optimedia, slightly down from $491.6 billion in 2008.
