Sydney- Australia's Network Ten has described its crop of US new season shows and renewals as the best in many years. Jupiter companies to merge to boost subscribers
Tokyo- Jupiter Telecommunications, Japan's largest MSO with 2.67 million subscribers, is merging with Jupiter TV, which operates 17 cable and satellite channels, effective Sept. 1. First, Jupiter TV is being reorganized into a new entity, New Jupiter TV, housing 16 channels, by July 2. Cannes- Singapore's Monsoon Pictures and Dutch filmmakers IdtV Film will co-produce a US$6.5 million feature film to chronicle the Maria Hertogh riots, an event dating back to Singapore's colonial history.
