Sydney- Foxtel has snagged exclusive Australian broadcasting rights to American Idol from FremantleMedia, and the twice-weekly show will launch in mid-January on Fox8, aired within hours of its US premiere on Fox. Tokyo – The 34th Japan Prize, the international contest for educational TV programs, was presented at an awards ceremony at NHK Broadcasting Centre, Tokyo on Oct. 29. Sydney - Sky News will launch Australia's first dedicated 24/7 business news channel in early 2008, most likely in January.
