Indonesia's public television broadcaster, TVRI has signed a contract for the free-to-air coverage of the Beijing Summer Olympics. The contract was concluded at a signing ceremony in Jakarta between the President Director of TVRI, Dr I.G.N Arsana, and the Secretary-General of the ABU, David Astley. BBC launches world news hub
BBC World News television, the BBC's world online and newsgathering teams and representatives from BBC World Service radio and online, have combined forces to create a multimedia world news operation to support the BBC's international news services. Jakarta - No local broadcaster has made plans to air the Beijing Olympic Games next month, making this the second Olympiad that Indonesians will not get to see live or free-of-charge.
