Hong Kong – Asia Satellite Telecommunications Holdings Limited announced that Peter Jackson will retire as CEO on 31 July 2010, and then be appointed as executive chairman on 1 August 2010 and remain as executive director of AsiaSat until 31 July 2011. Jackson, in his new capacity as executive chairman and his continuing role as executive director of AsiaSat, will maintain his strategic involvement in steering the company’s success. William Wade, currently deputy chief executive officer and executive director of AsiaSat, will succeed Jackson as chief executive officer with effect from 1 August 2010.
