Singapore – Two years after Al Jazeera English (AJE) started broadcasting on a pay-TV service in Singapore, it has been taken off the air, reports Today. SingTel has dropped Al Jazeera English from mio TV as the service “strives to enhance our channel offerings”. According to SingTel spokeswoman, mio TV constantly streamlines content offerings in order to address the demands and requirements of customers. mio TV had dropped fewer than 10 channels since its launch in July 2007. In the past two months, youth channel Sling and nature documentary channel Equator were discontinued.
