MIPTV, Cannes – Comcast’s production arm Comcast Entertainment Studios (CES) made its debut at MIPTV 2010, opening its doors for the first time to international broadcast, cable and satellite networks seeking to commission content. The announcement was made by Kevin MacLellan, recently appointed president of CES and president of Comcast International Media Group. Founded in 2002, CES produces over 1,100 hours of programming annually, and controls over 700,000 hours of media assets, including red carpet and movie premiere clips, set visits and news footage, and celebrity interviews. Additionally, the company boasts 15,000 new media short form videos each year. In addition to producing content for Comcast’s top brands E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network and G4, CES has developed series and specials for many top US networks.
