Singapore – BroadcastAsia2010 International Conference, a part of the event line-up for BroadcastAsia2010, will be held once again at the Singapore Expo from 15-18 June 2010. Themed ‘Integrating Technology, Experiencing Content’, this year’s conference will feature over 70 senior executives from leading companies discussing the challenges and business opportunities for the broadcasting and media industry. The conference will focus on the hottest topics that are making waves in the industry such as broadband and 3D delivery. The 3D-related Track will feature Colin Prior, founder and member of IMPALA, who will touch on how hybrid broadcast and broadband delivery are altering traditional forms of broadcasting as well as broadcaster control. Carl Furgusson, VP of Compression Product Management, Ericsson TV Solutions, will examine business models for 3D and discuss the realistic short & medium-term options and likely costs for 3D TV delivery. The Multi-Platform Content Delivery Track will feature Richard Redmond, director of Strategic Marketing, Harris Corporation Broadcast Communications who will assess the content delivery options and business models available on digital multimedia broadcast networks and explain the new opportunities these networks bring to broadcasters, network operators and content delivery companies. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union will present a session on ‘Marching from HD to 3D TV’ and will provide insights to industry professionals who are interested in or are beginning to produce content for the 3D space.
