Singapore – Universal Networks International (UNI), the global channels division of NBC Universal announced a restructuring of its Asia Pacific advertising sales function, adding three new hires including Hamidah Hashim as head of advertising sales. Hashim leads a newly expanded ad sales team and will report to Christopher J. Williams, vice president of sales and commercial operations, Asia Pacific, who was given responsibility for all revenue generating activities of the entertainment channel group in February. Vanessa Chua, account manager and Maria Hassouni, media analyst and planner, also join the sales team as UNI ramp up and strengthen the commercial activities of its channel brands in the Asia Pacific region. With over 15 years of experience in media and publishing, Hashim will spearhead the advertising sales initiatives of the entertainment channel brands in the region. Hashim will oversee the Asia Pacific advertising sales teams and will be responsible for developing strategies to provide custom made, integrated solutions for client brands. She joins Universal Networks International after seven years of heading advertising sales at Fox International and Star.
