Bangkok – The Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has launched a new TV channel, Mango TV. NBC, a subsidiary of Nation Multimedia Group, hopes Mango TV will help lift its revenues and break even within 12 months. The company launched Mango TV to expand its audience base with the investment cost of 37 million baht, said president and CEO Adisak Limprungpatanakij. The new channel with a concept of ‘smart entertainment’ was introduced to celebrate NBC’s 10th anniversary. Apart from Mango TV, NBC also operates Nation Channel, which focuses on news. Mango TV focuses on soft content such as arts, culture and lifestyle with more than 30 programme producers from outside called Friends of Mango (FOM) as its strong point.
