Aparna Pingali Agrawal has been appointed director of marketing, CNBC in Asia Pacific. Agrawal has spent more than 12 years in the media industry, covering broadcast, print, publishing, the internet and most recently public relations. Her last appointment was as associate director with Grayling and was responsible for managing corporate and consumer PR and communications programmes for a range of clients across various sectors. She has successfully run PR events such as the RBS Grand Prix Challenge and PC Show. Prior to Grayling, Agrawal was in the broadcast industry with Star TV group and the Channel NINE, before moving to handle brand management for the Indian Express Group, managing the flagship newspapers across India and the North American edition. Agrawal will work with Jacqueline Lam, vice president, marketing and distribution, CNBC in Asia Pacific to oversee overall marketing, trade and consumer brand strategy and events for CNBC across Asia Pacific.
