London, UK – KidsCo, the international children’s channel, has partnered with the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre to produce original programming that celebrates the works of Roald Dahl and the Centre’s creative and interactive activities for children. Dahl’s huge contribution to children’s literature and power as an author is recognised in KidsCo’s programme short which is now on-air across KidsCo in Asia following a successful launch in Western Europe. The 60 second clip emphasises the contribution Roald Dahl has made to children’s story-telling with stories like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and The BFG – which airs on KidsCo. The clips also showcase children enjoying the educational and imaginative activities at the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, including inventing new words and characters and creating animation sequences. Eileen McCarthy, programme director, KidsCo said, “KidsCo is continuously seeking appropriate collaborations with organisations that share a passion for delivering fun and engaging entertainment to children. Roald Dahl’s works are recognised around the world and his ability to engage children in his wonderful adventures not only contributes to their enjoyment of storytelling but enhances their ability to read and learn. We are thrilled to be linked to The Roald Dahl Museum through this project – it is an inspiring organisation that complements our vision closely.”
