Kuala Lumpur – Fox International Channels (FIC) announced the launch of Nat Geo Wild in partnership with Malaysia’s Astro. The launch brings to all Malaysian homes subscribed to Astro a 24-hour television channel fully dedicated to the spectacular and breathtaking wildlife programming. The newly launched channel is available on Astro Channel 550 with round-the-clock programming in Bahasa Malaysia as the default language with two other optional audios in English and Mandarin. All Astro subscribers can tune in to Nat Geo Wild, which is part of the channel line-up in Astro’s Family Package with no additional charges. Today, Nat Geo Wild is available to over 30 million subscribers in 38 territories worldwide and 17 languages. In welcoming the new channel to Malaysia, Astro TV’s Chief Operating Officer Henry Tan said, “It is a timely launch as it fits into the backdrop of the increasing environmental awareness and biodiversity conservation efforts in Malaysia. We certainly look forward to a stronger cooperation with Fox International Channels and its growing presence in Malaysia.”
