Tokyo – Jupiter Telecommunications Co., Ltd., the largest multiple system operator (MSO) in Japan based on the number of customers served, has announced that the total subscribing households as of August 31, 2010 served by J:COM’s 23 consolidated franchises reached 3.36 million, up 125,200 or 3.9% since August 31, 2009. Combined revenue generating units (RGUs) for cable television, high-speed internet access and telephony services reached approximately 6.18 million, up 337,700 or 5.8% since August 31, 2009. The bundle ratio (average number of services received per subscribing household) increased to 1.84 as of August 31, 2010 from 1.80 as of August 31, 2009. The cable television digital migration rate as of August 31, 2010 increased to 99% from 86% as of August 31, 2009.
