MIPCOM – Comcast International Media Group, Asia Pacific has experienced a very robust quarter, inking licensing deals totaling 400 hours in Australia, China, Malaysia, New Zealand, The Philippines and South Korea, announced Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Christine Fellowes. “CIMG’s entertainment and lifestyle programming continues to be sought after by buyers in the Asia Pacific,” said Fellowes. “This year we’re delighted to see a growing interest in our male-skewed and sports-related titles from G4, Versus and Golf Channel.” Premier Media Group in Australia has picked up the format for Web Soup, launching a local version hosted by two of their Smokin’ Hotties presenters, while Seven Network has picked up seasons one through three of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. China’s CCTV has picked up episodes of The E! True Hollywood Story. In Malaysia, 8TV has licensed Extreme Close-Up’s Twilight Specials, while Living Channel in New Zealand has acquired three seasons of The Style Network’s Ruby. In the Philippines, Velvet has acquired a package of E! titles, including The Soup, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, The E! True Hollywood Story and Forbes, E! and Extreme Close-Up’s Twilight Specials, while Lifestyle Network has licensed top programs from The Style Network including Clean House, Clean House: Search for the Messiest Home in the Country, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, How Do I Look?, Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, What I Hate About Me, Tacky House, and Ruby specials. Solar Sports has picked up Golf Channel’s The Haney Project: Charles Barkley and Ray Romano series, Versus’ Sports Jobs, and G4’s X-Play, Two Months, $2 Million, and Human Wrecking Balls, while ETC has licensed Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Style Her Famous and Dress My Nest. Finally, South Korea’s CJ Media has picked up Foody Call and Stripped for its O’live channel.
