Singapore/London/New York – The music video, When Will I Feel Love is driving the launch of the new phase of a partnership between MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to combat human trafficking in Asia. This extension to the MTV EXIT campaign in Asia will feature a new series of on-air programs, live events, digital content, and marketing campaigns aimed at increasing knowledge as well as positively impacting attitudes and behaviour vis-à-vis human trafficking and exploitation. The music video is now available across MTV properties on-air and online around the world, and is available to download on iTunes. This year, a new series of 12 documentary films, hosted by local and international celebrities, will premiere across Asia-Pacific featuring the stories of real people caught up in the web of human trafficking. The shows will target at-risk and vulnerable populations in addition to educating the wider public about how everyone plays a role in the trafficking chain through demand. Airing on MTV channels and partner broadcasters across the region, the programmes will subsequently be released digitally as well as distributed for free to anti-trafficking organisations for use in advocacy. The campaign will also have a particular focus on four countries in the region with high prevalence of human trafficking. Throughout 2011 and 2012, national advocacy campaigns will be launched in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These will include the production of live concerts, youth forums, dedicated local programming and marketing initiatives.
