National Geographic Television International (NGTI) will bring to MIPTV more than 80 hours of new programming, including Great Migrations (4 x 52mins). The wildlife series sees traditional blue-chip film-making elevated to a new art-form as the migration habits and behaviours of hundreds of species are captured in breath-taking detail using state-of-the-art technology. In addition to the main four-part series, Great Migrations also has three accompanying companion programmes, now ready to license. A 1 x 52 Music Video offers a narration-free, musical journey around the world of animal migrations, Great Migrations: Behind the Scenes (1 x 52) tells the stories of the intrepid crews that spent 350 hours in trees, 500 hours in blinds and 400 hours underwater to get their shots, while Science of Migrations (1 x 52) shows how scientists learn from and study these magnificent spectacles of nature, revealing a new understanding of animal decision-making. Other key natural history shows from NGT include That Shouldn’t Fly (1 x 52), Death of a Sea Monster (1 x 52) and The Rise of Black Wolf (1 x 52).
