London – Content Television (formerly known as Fireworks International) has shipped Thorne to more than 120 countries throughout the world, securing a raft of new deals including major pan-territory acquisitions. Content Television has now licensed the crime thriller throughout Europe, including DR Denmark, TV4 Sweden, NRK Norway, YLE Finland, Panvision for Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Tele Mùnchen Gruppe (TMG) in a pan European deal including France, Italy, Germany and Spain among others. Thorne has also been acquired by Daro in a pan-territory deal which includes Africa, Eastern Europe, CIS and the Baltic States, the Middle East and Turkey; Sky TV for Prime in New Zealand; Kenny & Co in South Korea; WOWOW in Japan and AXN in another pan-territory deal throughout Latin America. Based on the bestselling novels by Mark Billingham and starring David Morrissey (State of Play), Natascha McElhone (Californication) and Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy), Thorne was recently nominated in the Best Multichannel Programme category at the UK’s Broadcasting Press Guild Awards.
