Singapore – Christine Fellowes has been appointed Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Universal Networks International, with oversight of NBCUniversal’s pay-TV channels operation in the region. Reporting to Belinda Menendez, President, Universal Networks International & TV Distribution, the appointment is based in Singapore and effective immediately. The role will see Ms Fellowes manage Universal Networks International’s combined channel brands in the Asia Pacific region, namely: Syfy Universal, Diva Universal, Universal Channel, 13th St Universal, E! Entertainment, The Style Network and The Golf Channel. Her remit includes full oversight of all commercial aspects of the channels operation, building local strategic partnerships and maximizing business performance. Ms Fellowes moves from her former role overseeing E! Entertainment, The Style Network and The Golf Channel, based in Hong Kong as MD, Asia Pacific, Comcast International Media Group (CIMG), the global division of Comcast Corporation, which confirmed its majority ownership of NBCUniversal in January 2011. Raymund Miranda, who has served as MD, Asia Pacific for Universal Networks International, will leave NBCUniversal to pursue other career opportunities.
