Sir Tom Stoppard and David Parfitt are unveiling their new drama Parade’s End, on 4 October in Cannes. The show, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall, is a flagship five-part drama for BBC and HBO, adapted from a quartet of Ford Madox Ford novels, by internationally acclaimed playwright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard. It is produced by David Parfitt and Selwyn Roberts, and directed by Bafta award-winning film maker Susanna White. BBC Worldwide is the international distributor and also along with Lookout Point, a co-producer. Parade’s End, currently in production, is set during a formative period of British history – from the twilight years of the Edwardian era to the end of the First World War.
