Paris – Banijay International has sold its musical game show Super Star Ding Dong, to Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation China (JSBC). JSBC will co-produce the format, due to air in the coming months, exclusively with Idea Asia Media. Along with China, the format has been optioned by Mastiff Media in Poland and is also attracting strong interest in the Middle East. Karoline Spodsberg, Managing Director, said the deal, which was closed at MIPCOM, represents Banijay’s keen interest in expanding its presence in Asia and partnering third-party producers is a good way to achieve this. Originally created by Ireland’s Vision Independent, the programme sees contestants faced with eight closed doors, each with a doorbell that chimes out a popular song. Contestants then need to try to recognize those tunes.
