Doha, Qatar – Al Jazeera has announced a new observational documentary series called Indian Hospital.

The 6 x 1 hour series was filmed over four months by two crews inside The Narayana Hrudayalaya, a massive 3000 bed hospital on the outskirts of Bangalore. By following the stories of patients, doctors and nurses, the documentary explores the rich variety of life in modern India through the prism of hospital life.

Indian Hospital is executive produced by Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA winning filmmaker Jon Blair. It will air on Al Jazeera English from May 3 and will also be available for free viewing at www.aljazeera.com.
