Singapore – Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has announced the first and exclusive airing of Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, Life without Principle and A Simple Life – the three biggest winners at the recent 2012 Hong Kong Film Awards – on Celestial Movies in the second half of the year.
The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, which achieved eight nominations and five awards, including Best Action Choreography, Best Film Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Sound Design and Best Visual Effects, is an action-packed martial arts epic starring Jet Li, Zhou Xun and Chen Kun. It will premiere on Celestial Movies in July.
Life without Principle, a movie about the morality struggle of three people as they solve their financial woes amidst a global economic crisis, won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards. The film, starring Lau Ching-wan, Richie Jen and Denise Ho, will premiere on Celestial Movies in September.
Andy Lau and Deanie Yip’s A Simple Life, which depicts a heart-warming relationship between a young master (Lau) and the servant who raised him (Yip), bagged the four major awards – Best Director, Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress – and the Best Screenplay award. The film, currently showing in local cinemas, will premiere on Celestial Movies late this year.
