Seattle – Amazon.com, Inc. announced that the Hunger Games trilogy has outsold the seven-book Harry Potter series, making Suzanne Collins’ three-part saga the best-selling book series of all time on Amazon.com, taking into consideration print and Kindle book sales combined.
Sara Nelson, Editorial Director of Books and Kindle, Amazon.com, said, “Interestingly, this series is only three books versus Harry Potter’s seven, and to achieve this result in just four years is a great testament to both the popularity of the work and, we think, the growth in reading digitally during that time.”
The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay are published by Scholastic, and are all currently in the top 50 books in both print and Kindle formats.
