Singapore – Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia’s flagship channel AXN topped ratings for the last two weeks among all English general entertainment (GE) pay-TV channels during prime time in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines among viewers 4+, as well as the key target audience of professionals, managers, executives and businessmen (PMEB), according to data from Kantar Media Singapore/Philippines and AGB Nielsen Media Research Malaysia for the 27 August – 9 September 2012 period, 6pm – 1am.
The ratings success reinforces AXN as the clear English GE channel of choice among audiences across Southeast Asia. In Singapore, AXN enjoyed a 23% and a 60% lead in average weekly prime time ratings over its closest competitor, while in Malaysia, AXN was 100% and 19% ahead in average weekly prime time ratings over the next best rated English GE channel.
In the Philippines, AXN delivered 100% and 25% higher average weekly prime time ratings over the nearest competing network for the same audience demographics.
