Tokyo– NHK will exhibit jointly with JEITA, the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association, at the comprehensive CEATEC JAPAN 2015 IT and electronics fair in Makuhari Messe from 7-10 October.
The 85 inch 8K liquid crystal display with HDR*1 (High Dynamic Range) images received a high reputation in September at IBC 2015, Europe’s biggest Electronic Media and Entertainment Exhibition, and will now be exhibited for the first time in Japan for visitors here to view the world’s most beautiful TV images.
The test broadcasting of 8K (Super Hi-Vision) is finally due to commence next year. 8K programs transmitted from the NHK Broadcasting Center in Shibuya, Tokyo, will be relayed via broadcasting satellite to the CEATEC venue for visitors to enjoy the true 8K broadcasting experience.*28K displays of various other sizes ranging from 9.6 to 55 inches will also be shown and visitors will be able to view the images on a tablet-sized display. The 9.6 and 17.3 inch displays will be exhibited for the first time in the world.
