Following the memorandum of understanding signed at the 2023 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), CJ ENM Hong Kong (CJ ENM HK), Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET), and TVBS Media have officially announced the establishment of the Entertainment and Culture Content Fund, a global initiative aimed to foster cross-border content collaboration.

With a combined commitment of 960 million Taiwan Dollars (approximately 30million USD) over 5 years, the fund will invest in IP exchange and Mandarin content creation, production, talent development and distribution of finished contents locally & internationally. It aims to elevate creative collaboration across Mandarin music, dramas, movies, reality and other content genres which can resonate with Regional and Global audiences.

“This fund embodies our belief that cross-border collaboration is the key to making Asian content global,” said Sean Cho, Executive Vice President, Head of Global Business Division of CJ ENM “By connecting our production expertise with Taiwan’s creativity and innovation, we are setting the stage for the next generation of international hits from Asia.”

Minister of Culture, Li Yuan, also expressed, “We are really thrilled to be working with so many entertainment powerhouse and especially excited to have Korean Entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM on board. We believe that the cross-border collaborations will push Asian content to a global scale.”

The fund’s areas of focus include:

  • Content Production & Investment: Supporting any formats that showcase local Taiwanese and Korean narratives.
  • Distribution & Marketing Support: Leveraging both countries’ media networks and platforms to reach broader audiences across Asia and beyond.

This unique Alliance also combines core strengths of each partner beyond monetary contributions: CJ ENM HK’s international production and distribution network, TAICCA’s local IP and industry knowledge, FET’s digital innovation and technology capabilities, and TVBS’s broad media reach and production expertise.

The official launch ceremony took place today at Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF 2025), witnessed by Minister of Culture, alongside representatives from TAICCA, CJ ENM, CJ ENM Hong Kong, Far EasTone Telecom, and TVBS. The event marked a significant step forward in the shared vision to build a vibrant and sustainable pan-Asian entertainment ecosystem.
