MwareTV, a prominent cloud-based multi-tenant platform provider, has attracted Daniel Conde Coto to join the company as director, sales operations. This is a significant appointment, giving MwareTV a further boost in its presence in the Americas, which is already seeing major growth in its services.
Coto has a degree from Spain’s University of Deusto and an MBA from University of California’s respected Haas School of Business. He spent 10 years as a pilot for Iberia before moving towards a career in streaming and media, where he has taken leadership roles in some of the most important businesses in the sector.
On moving to Costa Rica he took director-level roles with Avaya and Alcatel, before taking charge of the creation of Kolbi, the mobile operator of Costa Rica Telecommunication Company. Following this success, he became global sales director for Total Movie, the second largest OTT service in LATAM. Since then, he has been responsible for business leadership at Kaltura, Ooyala, Evergent and Whip Media, all leaders in streaming and media.
“Daniel’s experience speaks for itself,” said MwareTV CEO Sander Kerstens. “He brings remarkable skills, great contacts and a global overview on business development. His real, in-depth understanding of the OTT market is a really good fit for us, and we are all excited to have him on board, primarily boosting our capabilities in Central and South America, but also offering wisdom and insights globally.”
Daniel Conde Coto added, “The MwareTV offering is a unique proposition in the market, providing a complete, cloud-based solution which is fast to implement and simple to operate. It meets a real need in the marketplace, and I am relishing the opportunity to work with prospective users, helping them realize revenues and boost subscriber loyalty.”
Coto joined MwareTV in April 2024. Working from his base in Costa Rica, he is perfectly placed to work with clients and potential users up and down the Americas.
