Rome– After this spring’s auspicious start to All’Opera, the ambitious program to bring the best Italian opera productions to cinema audiences all over the world, RAI Com announced a vast extension of the territories in which the series will be distributed.
All’Opera enables worldwide audiences to enjoy the best opera has to offer in famed theaters such as La Scala in Milan, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Regio in Turin, La Fenice in Venice and the Arena in Verona.
The 2015/16 season will offer timeless works of composers such as Rossini (The Barber of Seville, La Cenerentola), Puccini (The Girl of the West), Verdi (La Traviata, Joan of Arc) and Donizetti (La Favorita), presented through state-of-the-art recording technology. The live performances, featuring an exciting roster of international top-flight singers, conductors, orchestras and directors will be captured by seven HD cameras that will enable the viewers to enjoy the larger stage as well as the utmost detail. The project will help exhibitors to attract new audiences and lower the threshold for non-classical music audiences to experience opera of the highest quality.
RAI Com has closed contracts for theatrical distribution for France (CGR), Spain (Filmax), Australia (Palace) and South Korea (SDC).
