Twofour Rights, Twofour’s international rights distribution arm, has sold a package of factual and features to BBC Worldwide in China, including Harry’s Mountain Heroes (1×60′), the Biggest Hoarders strand (5×60’) and Be Your Own Boss (6×60’).
Harry’s Mountain Heroes charts an inspirational adventure launched by Prince Harry, in which a team of wounded servicemen take on the world’s toughest mountain, Everest.
Biggest Hoarders sees presenter Jasmine Harman on an intimate, emotional and deeply personal journey to discover more about the condition and help hoarders. Single documentary Britain’s Biggest Hoarders, part of the package, peaked with 4.6 million viewers and secured a Mind Media Award for portrayal of metal health after it aired on BBC One in the UK.
Be Your Own Boss sees co-founder of Innocent Smoothies, Richard Reed, on the hunt for groups of friends with killer ideas, hungry for a shot at life-changing investment.
The deals were brokered by Senior Sales Executive, Holly Hodges. Hodges said: “From bold business format Be Your Own Boss to heart-stopping adventure Harry’s Mountain Heroes, we’re delighted to bring these inspirational stories to Chinese viewers through BBC Worldwide.”
“We are very excited about our deal with Twofour,” said Pierre Cheung, Vice President and General Manager for BBC Worldwide in China. “This is our first deal with them for China, and we hope to be able to continue to work with them to bring quality UK content to China.”
