Boston, Massachusetts – PBS International will bring three exciting new PBS series to MIPCOM for the first time: Pioneers of Television, Raw to Ready, and Secrets of Britain.

The Emmy Award-nominated series Pioneers of Television (6 x 60’) reveals the intriguing behind-the-scenes stories and fascinating facts about successful programming genres and beloved television shows such as The Thorn Birds, Dallas, Batman, and Bonanza.
New interviews with legendary stars and never-before-seen images mix with memorable programme clips to offer a fresh take on TV’s breakthrough celebrities and legendary programmes. Episodes in this series highlight a number of important genres, including Science Fiction, Primetime Soaps, Westerns, Superheroes, Miniseries, and Crime Drama.
The new science series Raw to Ready (4 x 60’) ventures behind factory doors to explore the innovation and sheer genius that transform the most basic or raw materials and elements into powerhouse machines, such as the earth-moving Komatsu 930E and Bentley Motor Company’s signature Mulsanne.
In Secrets of Britain, PBS unmasks the real-life drama and intrigue hidden within the walls of notable British landmarks, including the Tower of London, Selfridges, and Scotland Yard, in six new one-hour specials from Pioneer Productions, producers of the popular Secrets of the Manor House series.
