Mongolian audiences have been captivated by reality TV shows like The Voice of Mongolia where talent and an interesting backstory make up for an award-winning hit.
The Voice of Mongolia was lauded as the Best Music Programme at the 25th Asian Television Awards. Saruul Bold, the Head of Production at Mongol TV shared that Mongolia is drawn to the emotional aspect of TV shows. Saruul said that Mongol TV always tries to achieve the best quality from staging to entertainment.
The broadcaster’s other top-rating shows include Mongolia’s Got Talent, Secret Life of Five-Year-Olds, The Apprentice, and Dancing With The Stars. Saruul said that this summer, Mongol TV finished making Big Brother, and commented that reality shows offer a different kind of reality for Mongolian viewers. Another added bonus is the addition of local celebrities to the cast. The Head of Production also noted that glossy production value and entertainment are what captivates the Mongolian audience.
