iQIYI has released a brand new office romance series — Viva Femina! The series surrounds itself around 3 career ladies with completely different personalities as they help each other grow. Kang Ziyou (starring Yin Tao) is the single mother female lead who had enough of marriages ever since hers failed but decided to take the leap of faith when she met the good looking doctor, Nie Yunze (starring Jasper Liu ).

Yin Tao who won the 31st Golden Eagle Female Lead Award last year with her persistent yet gentle role as Zheng Juan in A Lifelong Journey took on a different role this time. As a modern career lady Kang Ziyou, Yin Tao’s character is one that is not bound by the restraints of a marriage. Playing as the Sales Director in a medical aesthetic clinic, she meets the good looking plastic surgeon, Nie Yunze at a ball, forming an inextricable bond between the two.

In the latest trailer, the two can even be seen sharing an intimate kiss along the staircase as Liu Yihao confesses, “If we were to date in the future, it would be my first as well.” This sincere confession paired with the shy smile on his face left the audience swooning over their interaction.

In the premiering episode of Viva Femina, Yin Tao was left in utmost embarrassment after stumbling into her ex husband’s wedding coincidentally and to make matters worse, her boyfriend who wasn’t able to read the room, took the bouquet of flowers over and got into his knees to ask for her hands in marriage, leaving her even more awkward than ever. Leaving the place in a hurry, the rest were left confused as to what they just witnessed.

Furthermore, as a 21st-century woman who places strong emphasis on her career, she is completely clueless towards culinary and housework matters especially when her daughter was left under her care. Hence, in an attempt to make up for her flaws and to amend the mother-daughter relationship between the two, she was firm in her decision to break up with her boyfriend when she felt the slightest ounce of his unacceptance towards her daughter but was left even more frustrated when her daughter revealed that her ex bought a unit right below theirs.

Despite supposedly losing all hope in relationships, Kang Ziyou’s life took a drastic turn when she met Nie Yunze. After offering him a position to join her clinic, she was met with instant rejection and was even accused of being a sly businesswoman thus, she decided to change her plans which, as expected, foiled as well. In an attempt to get him drunk as a form of revenge for his attitude towards her, Kang Ziyou ended up drunk on his bed instead and in a daze, forced him to apologise to her, officially planting the seed of this romantic relationship.

Jasper Liu isn’t only on the receiving end as well as he comes up with all sorts of ways to lure Yin Tao in the series. When the usually domineering Kang Ziyou panicked from the thought that the two had a one night stand, he teased her, “Just look at how cute you look right now!” Don’t misunderstand his playfulness as a caring soul lays underneath it. Upon seeing how Ziyou was suffering from gastric cramp, Yunze got onto his feet and rushed to get her a cup of warm water while massaging her to ease the discomfort. Both their interactions left fans squealing in excitement for more.
