Singapore – Regional broadcaster Channel NewsAsia has launched an all-new Smart TV app with Samsung. The app allows users to have access to an extensive selection of content from Channel NewsAsia that covers news, business, lifestyle, travel, history, current affairs and documentaries on their Samsung Smart TVs.
The launch is in conjunction with the release of Samsung’s newest 2014 Smart TV sets, including the Samsung Curved UHD TV, from April onwards. With Channel NewsAsia’s presence on multiple digital platforms and devices, this new Smart TV app adds to the channel’s efforts in boosting its digital offerings to engage the growing number of digitally-savvy consumers. The interactive and user-friendly app is available free from the Samsung Smart Hub and can be used on Samsung Smart TV models produced from 2012 onwards.
Users can receive specially curated content from Channel NewsAsia, including:
- Breaking news videos
- Catch-up programmes on business, lifestyle, travel, history, current affairs and documentaries
- News articles
- News photo galleries
