Tokyo – J-MELO is aired on every Monday on NHK World TV, NHK’s 24-hour English broadcasting service. This popular programme introduces Japanese music, ranging from J-pop to traditional music.

The programme’s MC May J. is a popular singer in Japan. Since she started acting as MC for the show in 2008, May J. has not only introduced all sorts of Japanese music but also performed as a singer. Her singing prowess attracts fans from around the world.

For the programme to be broadcast on July 14, May J. sings “Let It Go” from Frozen, the animated film that is now all the rage. She performs the theme song for the Japanese-language version of the movie for the audience worldwide.
