Paris – Creator, Executive Producer and Showrunner David Greenwalt is set to keynote at the MIP Cancun Latin American TV Market, joining the roster of high-powered attendees at the event.The only dedicated TV content trade event for Latin America and US Hispanic audiences, the fourth edition of MIP Cancun will take place from 15-17 November 2017 in the Mexican resort city.
David Greenwalt is the acclaimed Co-Creator, Executive Producer and Showrunner of “Grimm,” Executive Producer of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, and Co-Creator of “Angel”. He will join Roy Ashton, Head of TV Lit and Packaging at The Gersh Agency, in a Keynote Conversation. Together, they will explore the essentials involved in identifying and developing made-for-television breakthrough stories, and will address the industry’s ever-growing demand for storytelling with global appeal. The keynote is scheduled for Thursday 16 November at 6:10pm.
With its new Co-Production Matchmaking Market, MIP Cancun is already attracting the industry’s top producers, and Greenwalt joins a group of high-level speakers at the event, including Marcus Blakely, Vice President of Skydance Television (“Ten Days in the Valley,” “Grace and Frankie,”) Michela Giorelli, VP Production and Development, Discovery Communications (“The Next Great Baker: Latin America,” “Trata De Mujeres: De Tenancingo a New York”) and Fernando Gaitan, acclaimed Creator, Writer and Producer for the Colombian RCN Television (“Ugly Betty,” “La Ley del Corazon”). They will share what they see as the key ingredients for success during a series of insightful conference sessions. Edward Sabin, Executive Managing Director, International, at A+E Networks, will also deliver a keynote at MIP Cancun.
MIP Cancun participants will also be able to meet top industry leaders as part of the ‘30 Minutes With’ conferences, where they will learn programming and production needs from the best in the business in a series of intimate sessions.
The three-day Co-Production Matchmaking Market aims to match production partners and facilitate new projects and co-productions between pay TV operators, public channels, independent production companies, and OTT and SVOD platforms.
