New York, NY – A+E Networks has appointed TV and film industry veteran Richard Tulk-Hart as Managing Director, International Content Sales, it was announced by Patrick Vien, Executive Managing Director of International to whom Tulk-Hart will report. Based in London, Tulk-Hart will manage all of A+E Networks’ content distribution and format licensing activities outside the US. Working with the company’s sales’ teams around the world, he will oversee a staff based in Korea, London, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Tokyo.
Tulk-Hart will build upon the international success of A+E Networks’ world class sales’ team, continuing to drive overall sales strategies for the company’s 16,000+ hour library which features content from US cable channels A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime and FYI.

The A+E Networks catalogue is comprised of acclaimed scripted, factual, TV movies and formats across a wide range of genres. Factual hit series from A+E Networks include 60 Days In; Forged In Fire; Live PD, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath; Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.; Pawn Stars; American Pickers; Storage Wars; Ice Road Truckers; among many others. The company also touts a world-leading selection of Lifetime TV Movies including a library of over 300 titles, and a highly anticipated upcoming slate including Cocaine Godmother, starring Catherine Zeta Jones.
Additionally, Tulk-Hart will help grow the company’s international co-production opportunities, as well as pre-sales and distribution for scripted series, mini-series and movies from A+E Networks. As such, he will have ex-US sales’ oversight for the premium scripted content of A+E Studios, including the upcoming epic series’ Knightfall executive produced by Jeremy Renner; dramatic military series, Six; the Peabody award-winning,UnReal; and recently announced Blue Book, a UFO drama from A+E Studios and Compari Entertainment, executive produced by Robert Zemeckis.
As well, Tulk-Hart will oversee Format sales outside the U.S. Recent successes are forged around a strong slate of relationship series such as Seven Year Switch and Bride and Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings, both which have reached top rankings in their time slots among total viewers and key demos in Australia on Channel 7. Most recently, adventure series, Alone, premiering in both Norway and Denmark, garnered top ratings in both markets being the third highest series ever on DR3 in Denmark.
Previously, Tulk-Hart served as SVP and Head of International for Miramax where he oversaw linear and digital content sales outside the US and Latin America, and covered all of the company’s multi territory sales and relationships with Netflix and Amazon.
Prior to Miramax, Tulk-Hart worked at Fremantle Media as Head of Sales, EMEA (Home Entertainment) and VP, TV Sales, Benelux, Africa, Malta and Cypress. In this role, he oversaw the company’s regional sales efforts for TV, DVD and DTO rights with a focus on drama and formats including X Factor, American Idol, and Got Talent.
Before Fremantle Media, Tulk-Hart was a sales executive and Head of Business Development EMEA for IMG Media where he was responsible for creating new revenue streams for various sports federations including The Olympics, Premier League, Ryder Cup, Rugby World Cup and The Open.
