Zodiak Kids announces today a UK deal with Channel 5’s Milkshake! for its hit preschool series Floogals. Floogals is based on an original idea from Dan Good and developed by Zodiak Kids Studios with UK special effects studio Jellyfish Pictures. Co-production partners on the brand are Sprout, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s preschool network and Nevision.
The first series of 52 x 11’ episodes will be revoiced with an UK cast and premiered earlier this week as part of Channel 5’s newly refreshed pre-school block Milkshake! The series is acquired by Milkshake! as the pre-school block enjoys its most successful year to date with year on year increases across children 4-15 and adults 16-34.*

The first series of Floogals was produced in the UK by Zodiak Kids Studios UK – part of the Banijay Group – as a co-production between Zodiak Kids and Nevision; Ceri Barnes is Show-running, Ruth Ducker is directing alongside Nigel Pickard and Nevision’s James Cabourne as Executive Producers. Jellyfish Pictures is the animation studio.
Floogals is a ground breaking mix of photo real CGI, and live action never seen before in preschool television. Fleeker, Flo and Boomer are pocket-sized alien adventurers on a mission to observe, experience and detail the new and exciting world around them – Planet Earth! Arriving in their spaceship with a bump from the distant planet Floog, the Floogals are on a mission to document everything around them in the peculiar world of “hoomans”. Whilst trying to keep their presence a secret, the innately inquisitive Floogals discover the wonders of our big, exciting and sometimes baffling world as we see it from their tiny perspective – four inches off the ground!
The series is a Sprout original commission and has been a hit on NBCUniversal’s Cable Entertainment’s preschool network since its launch in early 2016.
Zodiak Kids have already licensed Floogals to Piwi+ (Canal +, France), Discovery Kids (Latin America), ABC (Australia), DeA Kids & Cartoonito (Italy), TVO & Knowledge Network (Canada), Hop! Channel (Israel), Spectrum Film (Indonesia), YLE (Finland), Canal Panda (Portugal), Thai PBS Kids, Radio Television (Hong Kong), MediaCorp (Singapore), WeKids (China), BBC Alba (Gaelic UK), MBC (Middle East) and Discovery Kids Asia Networks (pan territory deal) amongst others.
