Leading independent distributor all3media International has concluded a significant new deal in Australia for contemporary BBC Four comedy drama Bucket it announced.
From Solution 3 Productions and starring BAFTA-winner Miriam Margolyes OBE (Harry Potter, Romeo & Juliet), Frog Stone (No Offence) and Stephanie Beacham (Boomers, The Colbys), Bucket will make its primetime debut in Australia on public broadcaster ABC later this year.
ABC Commercial has also secured the physical and digital home entertainment rights to both Bucket and Fleabag in Australia and New Zealand.

In four-part comedy drama Bucket, Mim (Margolyes) wants her only child Fran (Stone) to drive them on “the minibreak they never had” to mark her 70thbirthday. Fran obliges but no good deed goes unpunished. When Fran vows never to go anywhere with her mother again, Mim has a devastating trump card up her sleeve. She’s dying. Why else write a bucket list? And Mim wants to seize life until the pips squeak. This is a comedy about a mother-daughter relationship on the road to resolve the imperfect past that’s made their present tense.
Bucket forms part of a diverse slate of contemporary comedy drama available from all3media International, which also features Two Brothers Pictures’ critically-acclaimed Fleabag, starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge and produced for BBC Three, UK and Amazon Prime, US, and Objective Fiction’s ratings winner Witless, now in its second season for BBC Three. Also available is Game Face, from Objective Fiction for E4, UK, written by and starring Roisin Conaty Marley’s Ghosts, produced by Objective Fiction and John Stanley Productions for GOLD, UK, starring Sarah Alexander, John Hannah and Jo Joyner; and South Pacific Pictures’ Step Dave, produced for TV2, New Zealand and now in its second season.
