Korea – Netflix Inc., the world’s leading internet TV network has signed its international licensing agreement with JTBC, a South Korean nationwide broadcasting company, for the network’s select library of some 600 hours of scripted and unscripted TV shows.
The agreement includes the highly-anticipated Chef & My Fridge (냉장고를 부탁해) and Abnormal Summit (비정상회담) both of which will stream on the Netflix Korean service the day after it airs on JTBC. In addition, popular shows including Beating Again (순정에 반하다) and Can We Get Married (우리가 결혼할 수 있을까) will also be globally available on Netflix starting Q3 2017.
Earlier this month, Netflix also signed an exclusive international licensing agreement with JTBC for the network’s new Friday/Saturday TV series Man x Man, which has started streaming globally on 21 April. Previously, Netflix has announced two original productions Love Alarm and Kingdom, both of which will premier in 2018.
