London – Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) new sitcom Kevin Can Wait has been picked up by the UK’s Channel 4 and will air on E4. In the US, Kevin Can Wait airs on CBS and debuted strongly, attracting over 13.2m viewers. Now in its 4th week, the show continues to be the #1 new comedy on Total TV and the #2 comedy overall with Adults 25-54, only behind The Big Bang Theory.
Across Asia-Pacific, iQiy has picked up exclusive rights to the series in China; Viacom 18’s Comedy Central has picked up the series in India, as well as TVNZ in New Zealand which is set to air on TVNZ 2.
In Latin America, Turner has secured the comedy to air in 20 countries across the region. In addition, broadcaster OSN secured the series for the Middle East.

Starring Kevin James (The King of Queens), the series charts the ups and downs of newly-retired police officer Kevin, who is looking forward to spending more quality time with his family but quickly discovers he faces tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets. Sony Pictures Television is shopping the series to international buyers at MIPCOM, alongside scripted titles including Blacklist: Redemption, Notorious, Timeless and The Halcyon.
