New York – In the lead up to MIPCOM, A+E Networks has closed deals in multiple territories for its growing slate of formats; it was announced by Ellen Lovejoy, Vice President, International Content Sales, A+E Networks.
FYI’s social experiment hit Seven Year Switch launched its first international commission in Australia to enormous success. The series was the #1 show in its timeslot in all key demos on Seven Network and has already been renewed for a second season. The series has also been commissioned in the UK and Germany.
HISTORY’s extreme adventure reality competition Alone was the network’s #1 non-fiction series launch of 2015 across all key demos leading to a season three commission. The series scored its first international commission in Scandinavia with series orders in Denmark and Norway and options in the UK, Sweden and France. FYI’s buzzworthy relationship series Bride and Prejudice has been commissioned by Australia’s number one free to air network, Seven.
Ground-breaking, Emmy Award-winning format Intervention has been commissioned in Canada. Global ratings driver Pawn Stars has been commissioned in South Africa. Channel 4 has commissioned Season Two of Shipping Wars in the UK. Lifetime’s Sisterhood, the compelling series following young women who are considering the life-changing decision of taking religious vows to become nuns, received its first international commission in Spain with Quatro, Mediaset Spain.
