ITV announces a new three-year deal for Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor, which will see two of the UK’s biggest television formats continuing on Britain’s most watched commercial channel until at least 2019
The agreement, with Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia UK, extends ITV’s successful, long-standing relationship with Simon Cowell for a further three years. The new partnership will commence with Britain’s Got Talent in Spring 2017 followed by The X Factor in the Autumn.

The X Factor is in series thirteen, and has drawn a top consolidated audience so far this series of 10 million viewers/ a 42% share of viewing – which is the show’s highest audience since 2014, beating every episode of 2015, including the final.
The X Factor is currently averaging 7.2million viewers/a 34% share of viewing, rising to a 48% share of 16-34s, based on Live and Vosdal overnights. This year’s series is currently averaging a consolidated audience of 8.8 million viewers/a 37% share, with a 53% share of 16-34s.
