London – A+E Networks® UK announces the return of Britain’s Next Top Model on Lifetime following the huge success of the refreshed format on the channel last series.
The new ten-part series will again be produced by Thumbs Up Productions, which licenses the format from CBS Studios International. The eleventh cycle of the global hit fashion franchise went into pre-production this summer.
The previous series of Britain’s Next Top Model, which launched exclusively on Lifetime in January 2016, drew in over half a million consolidated unique viewers each week, and attracted a young, upmarket female audience, with two thirds of viewers being ABC1 with an average age of 35 years. Britain’s Next Top Model ranked #3 in the timeslot among pay-TV channels with women aged 16-54.
Model, presenter and previous Britain’s Next Top Model contestant Abbey Clancy and Britain’s first male supermodel Paul Sculfor return to the series as head judges, supported once again, by fashion director and style guru Hilary Alexander OBE and celebrity photographer Nicky Johnston. Abbey Clancy shot to fame after she appeared in Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006 and is well placed to offer the aspiring models unique tips from her experience.
The new series of the Lifetime show will also bring some of the fashion world’s biggest names to the screen, whilst focusing on the aspiring models’ personal stories as they attempt to transform themselves from ‘girls next door’ to fashion icons.
The 10×60’ series of Britain’s Next Top Model has already gone into pre-production, with filming taking place across the U.K. and abroad. The executive producers are Marty Redman and Cheryl Price for Thumbs Up Productions and Diana Carter for Lifetime/A+E Networks UK.
