Formatzone, the new UK production and content syndication company, is launching a joint venture with design guru and international on-screen star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen at MIPTV 2016.

The debut format is Laurence of Suburbia. This brand new show, already in production, takes a fresh and fun approach to home makeover and is scalable for production in every territory.

Laurence has built an extraordinary career as one of Europe’s leading interior designers and best known presenters, he is also one of the most recognised TV faces in Asia, following the success of Star’s hit Show The Apartment, drawing weekly ratings of 120 million across the region.

Formatzone combines access to prime time on Channel 8 of Freeview, the UK’s terrestrial digital platform, with state of the art production resources enabling the company to produce and broadcast new formats fast and cost-effectively; fulfilling the UK ‘terms of trade’ needed to retain rights whilst allowing creative and commercial partners more flexibility than in a traditional broadcast model.
