Armoza Formats’ I Can Do That! has scored another commission, with the Philippines’ largest broadcaster ABS-CBN, commissioning their first season. The show will be produced in-house and marks the first time that ABS-CBN has acquired an Israeli format.
This deal also marks the first format from Armoza to air in the Philippines, and follows on from growth in the region with formats including game show Who’s Asking? which recently launched in Thailand and India, and was the most successful launch in India over last 8 years, while the fun factual format The Gran Plan has also been taken in a multi-territory deal in Australia, Singapore, India, and the Philippines.
I Can Do That! is Armoza’s prime time studio entertainment show that takes a group of competitive celebrities and challenges them to perform new, unique and show-stopping live acts each week to prove that there’s nothing they can’t do. It was most recently acquired by Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and is currently in production in over 15 countries, including the USA, Mexico and Finland.
Leng Raymundo, VP – Programme Acquisitions and International Sales of ABS-CBN, said, “We are elated to start this project with Armoza Formats. As with any other formats we have adapted, ABSCBN is excited to bring another successful format to give a new experience to our Filipino viewers worldwide.”
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said, “We’re thrilled to be expanding the reach of I Can Do That! in Asia and to be extending into new markets. We look forward to creating a strong relationship with ABS-CBN and to seeing their adaptation.”
