Mumbai- UTV Software Communications Ltd has appointed Ronald D’Mello as CEO, UTV-UK. Based in UK and India, he heads UTV’s new media initiatives including animation arm UTV Toons, post production arm UTV Post, the controlling investment in console game development company, Ignition UK, as well as Indian mobile and online game company India Games, in which UTV is acquiring a controlling interest. Zarina Mehta has been promoted to CEO of GenX Limited to oversee the youth subsidiary which houses the Bindass initiative including related channels and businesses. D’Mello and Mehta remain on UTV’s Board of Directors and report to the Group Chairman. Shantonu Aditya joins the company as Executive Director of new subsidiary UTV Broadcasting Ltd. and CEO of V&S Broadcasting Limited. Reporting to the Group Chairman, he is responsible for the distribution of Bindass and Olive channels, and strategic initiatives in broadcasting including identification of JV partners. He also manages the variety, entertainment and specialty channels at V&S Broadcasting Limited. Aditya was CEO of Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd.
